    Sad news.  My first real exposure to formal economics was with Samuelson's textbook.  We used his textbook when I took Advanced Economics in my senior year in high school.  And the guy who taught it got his PhD from the Univ of Chicago, so I guess that says a lot when a freshwater economist uses a saltwater textbook.
